THREE people were hospitalised this morning (Aug 21) after a Garda van, which was attending an incident in a John Street Night Club, rolled down a hill and collided with a car and three pedestrians. The incident happened at approximately 2:45am and the road was immediately closed, and remained so for several hours.

The scene was attended by Waterford Ambulance Service, Gardai and Waterford Fire Service.

The pedestrians were brought to University Hospital Waterford where their injuries have been described as “non-life threatening”.
