The Derek Hanlon owned Rosegarland Troy 6/4 was the only winner to dip under the 29.00 barrier capturing the sixth event in a speedy 28.78. Overtaking the pace setting Viva La Banba on the back stretch ‘Rosegarland’ was not extended to run out a cosy three and a half lengths winner over ‘Viva’ .
Race 1, A7/A8 525: Leighlin Ted 2/1 made no mistake leading all the way in 29.36. A winner over six bends at Kilkenny ‘Leighlin’ was never in any danger of losing out breezing in three and a half lengths clear of Kenwood Sammi.
Race 2, N1/N2 525: Kateally and Noreview Jet 4/6 dominated this four-bender from start to finish. While the pair locked horns early on the Tom O Neill owned ‘Noreview’ motored into a back stretch lead before racing on to a two and a half lengths defeat of Kateally in 29.45.
Race 3, A6 525: Coming into trap six as a reserve Tycoon Rocket 5/2 made full use of his early pace to lead all the way in 29.13. Getting the better early on of Boderan Rose ‘Tycoon’ scampered clear to run out a facile eight lengths winner over Chancie Chappie.
Race 4, S6/S7 325: Bigwood Kelly and Carrigoe Larry dominated the early exchanges. 3/1 shot ‘Carrigoe’ took control of matters near the opening turn before motoring on to a deserved one and a half lengths defeat of Youcancatchme in 18.23.
Race 5, A5 525: Farmer Frankie displayed plenty of early foot to make all the running in 29.21. Forge Mist gave chase throughout but ‘Farmer’ 2/1 was not for catching obliging by five lengths at the finish.
Race 6, A4 525: See introduction.
Race 7, A5 525: Glenske Flor the 1/1 market leader ran out a clear cut winner in 29.01. Daddy Said led to the second bend where Leaders Return forged into the lead. Showing plenty of back stretch pace however ‘Glenske’ motored into the lead on the run to the third bend. Once in front ‘Glenske’ kept on well to deny ‘Leaders’ by four and a half lengths.
Race 8, A3 525: Sanfrancisco Sky set the early fractions but gave way on the rails to Monroe Shunter at the third bend. Once in front 2/1 chance ‘Monroe’ stayed on well at the head of affairs to see off Jennapatholly by two and a half lengths in 29.11.The winner is owned by Jimmy Frisby.
