Trainer Peter Cronin enjoyed a nice priced treble and the final leg produced the fastest run of the session with Tynwald Baz sluicing up in a lively 28.93. Getting the better early on of Rastafari Vic 3/1 chance ‘Tynwald’ upped the tempo down the back stretch before drawing clear for a cosy five lengths defeat of ‘Rastafari’
Race 1, A4 525: Liberty Queen 5/2 utilised her early pace to lead all the way in 29.88. Well clear at halfway ‘Liberty’ hit the winning line two and a half lengths clear of a hampered and staying on Stripe Henry.
Race 2, S1/S3 325: Mattys Hero 3/1 was in the front rank throughout and despite the late charge of Stripe Gaffer ‘Mattys’ held firm to triumph by three quarters of a length in 18.19.
Race 3, DDO 730: In the first of two novice marathons Town Mystery, Surfer Sal, Free Eagle and Fleeting Milly held prospects throughout but it was the slow starting Odell Rossetta 5/2 owned by Noreen Power and Colin Mead who came through the field to win going away. At the winning post ‘Odell’ had four and a half lengths to spare over ‘Fleeting’ in 42.34.
Race 4, A3 525: The first of two winners on the night for owner Terry Corden was Tynwald Zach this 2/1 shot doing the business in 29.50. Mays Spirit led at the first bend but shortly afterwards the Peter Cronin trained ‘Tynwald’ eased his way to the front. ‘Mays’ never gave up trying thereafter but ‘Tynwald’ stayed on well to win out by one and a half lengths.
Race 5, DDO 730: In the second novice six-bender 6/1 shot Stripe Richie finished with a flourish to triumph in 42.13.Kingmill Haven led for a long way and while Town Belle closed on the leader near the fifth bend it was ‘Stripe’ who produced the superior dash of finishing pace to basically outstay ‘Kingsmill’ by two and a half lengths.
Race 6, A4 525: Now owned by Ger Langan and trained by Willie Finn Narabane Black 3/1 ran riot over the opposition in 29.82. Outpacing his rivals in every department ‘Narabane’ was soon on his way to winning out. In a one sided affair ‘Narabane’ cruised to a ten and a half defeat of Black Lassie who came from behind Yacht Master to claim the runner up spot.
Race 7, A2 525: Peter Cronin recorded his second winner of the night with Mashmad Eyebrows 5/2 registering a narrow win in 29.61. Getting the better early on of a wide running Daring Tavern ‘Mashmad’ was forced to dig deep late on to repel the late charge of Lifes Queenie by a neck.
Race 8, A2 525: Market leader Pookies Plan returned to winning form this 4/5 favourite coming out on top to triumph in 29.90. The winner had a great buckle throughout with Boderan Duke but ‘Pookies’ put his head in front where it mattered accounting for a gallant ‘Boderan’.

Going rating. 325 yards .20 slow, 525 yards .50 slow and 730 yards .80 slow.
