LATEST reports from the count centre in Waterford are that between 60 and 80 valid votes were not stamped in a number of polling stations across the city and county.

The votes were declared invalid for that reason. The presiding returning officer has the job of stamping the paper when each voter presents him or herself.

Several sources at the count centre told the Waterford News & Star that the spoiled papers were not limited to one polling centre.
