MINISTER for Jobs and Innovation, Richard Bruton will be in the city this Thursday night to hear, at first hand, ideal by local business people for job creation and ideas which will contribute to the development of an Action Plan for Jobs for 2015.
The Action Plan for Jobs Business Forum which takes place at the Granville Hotel will be chaired by Minister of State Paudie Coffey.
Deputy Coffey said, “Waterford was hit hardest as a result of the economic collapse that occurred; firstly with our loss of economic competitiveness that led to the closure of many traditional manufacturing businesses in the city. This was compounded by the boom and then bust of the construction sector which led the unemployment rate in Waterford rising from 5,000 to 15,500 in the space of three years.”
He went on to invite businesses in Waterford City to attend this business forum at 7.30pm on Thursday evening in the Granville Hotel.
