After an 8am inspection this morning, tonight’s card as part of the Tramore Racing Festival has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.

The course passed an inspection at 4pm yesterday but 25mm of overnight rain ensured that there was no way that tonight’s scheduled racing could go ahead.

Thursday’s card has been re-fixed for this coming Monday but as of yet there is no details of tonight (Friday’s) card being rescheduled.

Attention now turns to Saturday’s meeting which is to be Ladies Day which is still very much no in doubt. The Turf Club will conduct an inspection at 8am on Saturday morning.
