A FEMALE was sexually assaulted as she walked home from the Spraoi festivities over the weekend.

Gardaí have collected CCTV footage in the city after a woman reported an indecent assault in the Bridge Street area during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The women met up with a male who walked her home and then sexually assaulted her before leaving the area. The man is described as being 5ft 10”, with very short balding grey hair. He was clean shaven and wearing a grey checked shirt, grey hoodie, dark jeans and black shoes. Following the incident, which occurred shortly before 3am, he went in the direction of The Glen.

Gardaí in Tramore are also investigating an incident relating to a juvenile female. A male has been arrested as a result of an incident which occurred on Strand Street between 3am and 4am on Sunday.
